i have a new ps2 slim with a magic kx modchip

it plays cdr backups but ps2 copys wont boot up

all i get is a screen that says insert playstation or playstation 2 format software

did i screw up putting in the modchip or is this a burning problen

Are you using DVD+R's or DVD-R's? I think the new ones only play +R's. Also burn at 1x.

no the new ps2's prefer -R's. yeh burn at 1X, test the games on a mates moded ps2 and if they work i would say a wire on your mod has been bridged or come loose.
