i backed up my dvd, and my ps2 wont read it, these are the steps i took....created iso image with dvd decrypter and compressed the full disc with dvd shrink cause it was too large being dual layered..then i burnt the compressed image to disk using dvd decrypter...and it doe'nt boot just says cannot read disk?

anyone now what went wrong...

oh yeah i tried the backed up disk on my pc and dvd decrypter tried to read it but came up with an I/O error.....there was no RCE protection on the original disk but there was CSS/CPPM protection...

i can give full error if needed!

try using DVD Shrink and it will shrink it to only the movie and nothing else (no menus, extra features, and such) and it should be able to fit on a regular dvd+r. Hope that helps.

Good Luck with the help im giving you!

Playstation 2 consoles do not require a modchip to play DVD movie backups, however, some PS2's seem to have a problem with the compression scheme used by some programs to compress the movie to fit on a DVD5 blank. Try a different compression program.

PS2 - v8
Mod - Magic V
Burner - CenDyne (Pioneer) DVR-A05
Media - Anything Cheap

Gamecube w/Broadband Adapter
Phantasy Star Online
Animal Crossing Loader v1.4
Phantasy Star Uploader v1.1
Gamecube ISO Ripping Server v1.0.0.29
