I have downloaded a film .mpg from winmx. i have burnt it as data to a dvd-r using nero 6. it will not play in dvd - check disk/disk error. my dvd has never had a problem playing copies before. the mrs is desperate to watch bridget jones 2! LOL Can someone please help me?...

You don't use data to record a movie. What you will want to do is go to video and select make a DVD video or something like that. The point is you will want to use Nerovision express. Alternatively, if you didn't want to use Nero at all, I would suggest using TMPGenc to encode the movie and use TMPGenc DVDauthor to author and burn it. good luck
