Hi
I?m having a problem trying to back up my PS2 DVD games using the DVD decrypter? I use the ISO read mode to copy to my hard drive, then ISO Write mode when it is finished coppering it say?s operation successfully completed? When I try to play it all I get is a gold disk on the screen then I press the x button the screen go?s black then the gold disk comes back.
I tried a friends backed up game and it worked fine. The ps2 is a v9 with a mod chip. The game iam coping is tome raider the angel of darkness. The disk I?m coping to is DVD-R. What am I doing wrong? I?ve looked on the net and everything I have seen it seems so easy just copy and play as long as you have a mod.
I hope some one can help me.

Use Quality Media I use
Verbatim dvd+r 8x 100 pack ( 24.99 )
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0002IQ1I0/slickdeals/104-0984492-0108

1. Take the ps2 game put it in the dvd rom or dvd burner, your choice.

2. open the dvd decryptor program then go to to tool bar and hit MODE>ISO>READ. Then choose the correct dvd drive that the game is in as the "source". Also choose where you want the files to be stored on the pc hdd. THEN CLICK DECRYPT , or the huge graphical picture at the bottom of the program which makes it run. The game is now copying to your HDD. Take the game out when finished (it might take a while).

3. Go to the same tab in dvd decryptor and choose MODE>ISO>WRITE. This will then let you look for the files you just created in step 2. Select the file that you just created. (There is only 2 files creadted so pick the .mdf) (The smaller file)Then click WRITE, make sure there is blank DVD in the drive.

You should ask first what modchip as if he might have a chip that doesn't boot DVDR or has a hard time i.e. Neo 2.2, No solder mods and older technology. As all my backups are on Princo 4x -R and I have never had a problem.
