DVD drive is not working

Hai all,

I am new to this group. I have a problem here.
I have a PC with a DVD drive. but its not working properly.
when i try to play audio cds, its working fine and even when i use the drive to install softwares from CDs its working fine. But when i play DVDs or Cds containing films its not working properly. in case of DVD, i cant able to play the film and in case of CDs it can view the film but can hear the audio. i had recently formatted my PC. before formatting i used Real player for view DVD films, but the same DVD is not working now even in real players. I tried for Clipex but could not get the software. I dont think i need to install any drivers to use the DVD drive.
I have no idea wht could be wrong. Please help me find a solution.
