One week ago my burner was working properly and could read and burn a dvd in under 1.5 hrs. Somthing has happened because now it takes over 3 hrs to burn a movie with little to no compression. I use dvdxcopy platinum and clonedvd2 and both have the same problem. It takes about 1 hr to read the movie and over 2 to write. I already checked my dma and both are set to dma. any suggestions?

Yeah, my 1st thought was going to be DMA settings, but you already checked that.

Hmm... how long have you had the drive? Have you ever cleaned the laser lense?

I can do even better than that. I went out and bought a new burner brand new and is very slow also.
