Hello, I have lately been having some trouble with my backed-up games. During gameplay in more than five of my games, the games stop and freeze at a certain point. Usually when saving or loading a menu. I am using a Benq EW822U Deluxe external dvd re writer, and I am using Sony dvd-r's. I am backing up the files using Dvd Decrypter. Can someone tell me what one of the possible problems may be?

Thank You

How old is your PS2? The laser may need cleaned, try using a disk lens cleaner.

what is the game publisher (ea games, ubisoft, etc). How fast are you burning the backup and what type of media (brand) your using?

**EDIT** sorry i overlooked your post.. your using Sony DVD-Rs, try using better brands that might be a little ore expensive but works a lot better.

Good Luck with the help im giving you!

ea sports are messed up... burn em on a dvd+R so they play smoother.. always happens with EA Games and such... if they skip and free burn em on a DVD+R and they will work!

Does this just go for Ea Sports games? Or should I try other games which are freezing on dvd+r's?

Yes, Well I am already using swap magic 3.3...
Could it be the condition of the games that I am copying that is my problem?
