Hi Any help you can provide would be fantastic.

I used to back up my DVD using DVD Decrypter then Instant copy with no problems. A friend said to update my decrypter and use shrink withit instead of instant copy (they said it was rubbish and to removed it from my pc so it does not conflict with other programes - I did this) since updating the deve decrypter I have not been able to burn any dvd.

I have tried

Read and write with dvd decrypter only
Dvd decrypter and Nero burn
dvd decrypter - shrink then dev decrpter burn

none of these work and they all seem to error at the burning process... the latest log is show below using dvd decrypter.

I have used a number of guides from bothe shrink and decrypter to try and get this working and have message in a number of forum to see if anyone can help.

Cheers

Have you tried just Shrink and Nero? Thats all I've been using for a couple of years and never had a problem.

A friend of mine uses Decrypter to rip and burn his games. He burns 1X for quality purposes. He's been doing a bunch of games without problems. I've not heard of anyone using Shrink and Nero doesn't appear to be a popular app for the PS2. Alcohol 120 is another program I've heard is popular with gamers.

In your directions you said you selected the MDS folder. Go back and select the ISO image created for the game and then try the burn.

If that wasn't the problem, I'd try deleting and reloading Decrypter following a spy/adware cleanup. Reboot before and after installation.

BTW, this thread belongs in console games, not the newbie section.
