How to find out what media an originial game has been burnt to

I wanted to know if it's possible to find out what type of media an originial game has been burnt to? Not the brand of media though the format, either -R or +R. I just tried using Nero InfoTool and it said the original game was a DVD-ROM, though when I inserted a backup it said it was a DVD-R.

originals are burnt on neither dvd-r,dvd+r.look at the colour of the disc.they are dvdrom

many ways to find out
original dvd = silver bottom, when explored it is bigger than 700mb (CD size), it says dvd-rom on original case
original cd = purple bottom, when explored it is at or under 700mb, it says cd-rom on case
