Help! Modded xbox and live?!

Can anyone plz give me any advice on how, or IF i can use xbox live with my modded xbox? Its had a 120gig HD and chip installed, and i dnt want to buy a LIVE starter kit and then just get thrown off and banned for having a mooded box! Any help will be greatly appreciated, Thanx!

if your old hard drive has no unsighned code and still is locked and you can turn your chip off then you shouldnt get banned. but if you dont have the original hard drive then idk.

So dya mean that i should take the new hard drive out and replace it with my original? Have you read anything bout the 'marriage theory'? Id also realy appreciate any advice on wot modem/router to use if i wanted to use a direct connection?

well you can take out the hard drive tray and make a switch between the 2. this means you can switch between your original and new hard drive. that is what i did since i still wanted to use xbox live. they are very easy and simple to make.

if you want to see if you can get on live, just use a 2 month trial code that comes with any XBox Live enabled game. Alternitavely buy one off ebay for about 3 bucks.

my chip has 3 switches on it: CHIP ENABLE
FLASH PROTECT
BANK
I assume that if i turn the chip enable switch off that it will make the original dashboard boot up?

Evilgit: if i use a trial code+get banned will the ban not be linked with my xbox ruling out any future use?

well if you get banned they ban your eep rom. every xbox has 1 and if yours gets band you need to get a new 1. so unless you have another working eep rom dont get banned.

i have read that if you just go onto the normal MS XBOX OS the chip will automatically be disabled

my bad, i forgot to quote... i was forwarding on from the xbox live with mod chip messages and i was just suggesting a way of turning the chip off that was familiar to me.
Xbox: Xbox Crystal, New Release v1.6
Modchip: X3
HDD: Still the same Retail Seagate :(

im not exactly sure about your method, but this one should work as it is simple and easy. if you have installed a new HDD in your XBOX then you should have the Original retail M$ XBOX OS, just start that and play your online game!!!WARNING!!! if you do not want to get caught and banned with a mod chip Always!ALWAYS! keep your auto sign in to last xbox live account used OFF

i have the Xenium ICE with Solderless Adaptor which help S0000000 much :P. and no i dont think it would effect it depending on your Modchip
P.S is the Xbox Crystal always v.1.6?

It's okay now, i just found a test on xbox-scene.com and it appears mine is 1.6
P.S anyone know where to find a guide for the instalation of The Xenium ice at v1.6(Xbox)

Aaaaw man, thats really eeeer turd(lol). think i'm gonna have to return the chip and get a spyder or some other one, can you recommend any to me?(ones that DO WORK WITH v1.6)tnx, nice find but pitty it dont work on mine, huh?

DO NOT GET A SPYDER! ive bin trawling thru loads of forums trying to find help with my live problem and ive seen nothing but bad things bein said bout the spyder,sorry!
I spose it depends wotya wana do wif your xbox, if tis just to play backups or saved games i wud stay wif an Xecuter. But then again u mite hear different fings from different ppl.

i dont really wanna do soldering cuz of thing that ive done b4 to electronics, and the Spyder and Xenium are the only Modchips that support solderless adaptors.

Seeing you seem to kno wot ur talkin bout could ya tell me how to lock my hard-drive? I tried turning my chip off by its switch and when i turn my xbox bak on i get a screen saying that my xbox needs service!
Could anyone plz help or provide a link or sumfin?
