DVD+R Burning Speed

I use DVD Shrink to rip and Nero 6.6 to burn my DVD+Rs. I have noticed in the past the some of the blank 4x DVDs that I purchased for burning would only burn at 2x, but I have never had a problem with TDK DVD+R burning at 4x.

Now, however, EVERYTHING burns only at 2x, no matter what DVDs I use.

I have upgraded to XP SP2 and have an NEC 1100A burner.

Any ideas as to why I can no longer burn at 4x?

Try this. It fixed my problem. I always check this first.

Also there is a huge thread on DVD Shrink people having problems with is being shown. Check this out if the first suggestion doesn't work.
