Can someone tell me how this is done correctly.
I tried this way:

All you have to do is have dvdloader (version 7 if possible). I do this all the time and it works.
Load Ar Max and choose you cheats. Start Game. place SM DVD and load it. Then after that swap it with DVD loader. Then press eject and load the SM DVD back it. Press X. Wait. Then swap in you game. That's all and it should load with codes.

I tried this way and all I get is no responce.
The AR is the AR for PSx and PS2 8meg card. not AR max. Can someone post on how this is done?

if its a ps1 ar, you can't load ps2 games with it.

Nope I have Both PS2 AR and PS1 AR. I got them in a set last night.

OK here's what I did. using that method the other guy stated before.
Using my actual FFX and backup for conclusion. AR PS2 disc didn't have the codes. first I had to make a Code list for the AR PS2 called FFX. Searching out the forums in AR PS2 AR codes will not work inless you have the (M) codes first and enabled. Then just for testing a inserted Infinite Gil code.

PLAYING backup with AR PS2 (AR = Action Replay)
1. Load AR PS2 CD
2. Start game with Codes
3. Hit the Eject button and swap cd with SM DVD
4. load SM DVD waite for screen.
5. USING the SWAP METHOD BY the hold Eject or using
the fliptop. Swap it for the DVDLoader.
6. Press X to load. Waite for Screen.
7. Hitting the Eject Button swap DVD's out for the SM DVD Again. Waite for Screen. PRESS X twice. This will bring you to the RED cloud background screen.
8. USING the SWAP METHOD BY the hold Eject or using
the fliptop. Swap it for the Backup.
9. Play Game
This should load the Codes for the game. I was confused on what the other guy had posted. I was using the Fliptop method to change out the AR for the SM DVD. This is not true. You have to hit the Eject button to load the SM DVD.

And scroll down to "* DVDr Boot Method #4 *(with GS codes enabled)". I'm not sure but I think this would work with Action Replay as well as Game Shark.

:) guess you didn't read me 3'rd statement. :) I got it workng but when inserting the SM DVD for the second timeyou have tohit the X twice.
