winavi sound problem

hi

I am using Winavi to make a dvd disk from some avi. movie that I have. I got it to work and everything but I noticed that when playing the movie, the sound seem to scratch, freeze or whatever u call it. The video is alright and the sound for most part sound alright. It just here and there and while I enjoy watching it on tv more then my computer, the sound problem is annoying. Any idea on what to do.
