I extracted disk one and its about 3400 sectors too large to fit on a DVD5. What should I do about this? I'll try burning it to see if it works, but first I want to see if anyone has any suggestions from personal experience.
TIA

Mine worked just fine but try not to get too excited about it. It would appear that the one that has been circulating is a beta and is also a disc 1 missing the disc 2 and has been nuked accordingly.

PS2 - v8

Burner - CenDyne (Pioneer) DVR-A05

I honestly don't recall but like I said, disc 2 is missing and it's a beta anyway. It appears that disc 2 was never leaked.

@Icemonkey,
No, thats the US release you're talking about, which was nuked almost immediately upon dispersion. The release I'm talking about is the japanesse import. Completely different. I have both disk ISO's sitting on my hard drive.

So is there any general rule regarding overburning games?

Well, burned the disk, but of course had to leave off the last ~3000 or so sectors. Got the blue border with SM, but only a black screen after that. Tried dvdloader, but it said the disk was invalid. I wish someone could give me some pointers here.

sigh...sounds like you didn't read my posts. The ISO as downloaded is about 3400 sectors too large for a DVD5. Is there a program I can use to trim some files in the ISO? Any helpful comments would be very appreciated.

What? You said it was too large for a dvd. So you're saying that when you selected the file with DVD Decrypter, it said that it was too large to fit on one dvd. You selected 'Burn anyway'. Burned it, and it played fine? What was the file name of the ISO you burned? Was it o-xsg2a?
