Hey, this is my first post (and yes I have done searchs trying to find the answer to my question, but I couldn't find any, so I registered).

Basically, I'm trying to backup a movie on a dvd-r to play on my PS2.
Now, I have a version 3 ps2, which from what I gather can play dvd-r media. I've successfully burned a movie, and it works in my computer, but when I load it on my PS2 I get a "disc read error".

The media type is a Sony brand dvd-r.
My burner is an LG GSA series.
I'm bruning the ISO using DVD Decryptor.
I removed macrovision with DVD Shrink.

ALSO, when I burned the movie, I made the disc region free. Could this be the problem? Can region 1 PS2's only play region 1 dvd's, and not region free ones?
