You need DVD Decrypter, free software available here, to burn your dvd-based ps2 games.
You either need to install a modchip, harddrive, or use a swap method.
You need to flip around the forum, becuase everything you can possibly need to know is already here.

If you're good at soldering, you might want to get a modchip and install it, or pay to have someone else do it.
I personally use the swap method myself. You can buy Swap Magic v3.3 discs which boot your backup games for you. Using this method requires either a special fliptop lid for your console or a slidecard. The fliptop is a convenient choice for swapping the games.
If you have the new slimline ps2, there are a few other methods to choose from.
