is there any way that i can save dvd-rw's from my dvd recorder onto my hard drive for editing? i have a dvd/cd-rw drive. i know i can play them, but i would like to upload to be edited,i presume i would also have to change the format of the files to .wmv or something, is this possible and how?

i cannot even find the program that i used to playy it last time so cant even play the dvd'rw, please help

Im not sure what kind of editing you want to do.
But if your doing your dvd's is the video mode,you should be able to rip them with DVD Shrink.
