OK, I'm planning to buy one of those new slim PS2's and a Swap Magic 3.3 + "Slim Tool" combo for playing original Japanese Import PS2 games, in particular, Bemani games (Dance Dance Revolution, Beatmania IIDX, etc...). I was wondering since back in the PSX day, Konami used to be notorious with the anti-mod systems they had in place for the earlier DDR mixes (the anti-mod codes for DDR 5th Mix are hard to find nowadays), as well as the Beatmania series, now that we are in the PS2 era, has anyone reported any success playing any Bemani game with the slim-PS2/Swap Magic 3.3/"Slim Tool" setup, or will I have to go to plan B: buy a Japanese PS2?
