NERO v6 SVCD PROBLEM

I use nero v6 on my computer and have a couple of things you might be able to help with:
I use a cd rw to burn cds and have had no trouble as such but when I go to burn a dvd rip onto a disc i have problems. Iuse 700mb discs and the dvd rip i am copying is 699.78 so just enough room to fit on but it puts a menu on the front which makes the mb too large for the disc capacity, is there any way to get rid of the menu screen so it will fit? Hope this makes some sense
