I have installed Xenium Ice Mod chip v2.0.1
I have downloaded and installed Flash FXP.
Trying to help my son get this going..
We have installed the Xenium Ice Mod chip 2.0.1
We have a crossover cable and running windows XP
We have a Xenium os 2.0.1 showing on the xbox screen.
We want to FTP to my PC but am unable to do so using Flash FXP....
When we try to connect, Flash FXP gives us an "unable to connect time out". Could someone tell us what we might be doing wrong? Also..are we able to install EVOX build 3935 using FTP rather than having to burn a disc? we have no other dash boards, just the original kernal. Thanks for any help getting us on track here! Much appreciated.

you need to install it via cd there is no other way unless things have changed since ihave been gone

evox is what allows your xbox to accept a FTP connection so burn it onto a memorex cdrw which in my opinion are the best

Sounds to me like you haven't flashed your Xenium with a bios.Under Launch menu in the Xenium software do you only have 1 item? Is it the Retail Kernal? It's not as fast but you should be able to FTP while in the Xenium software.I don't think you can use the retail Kernal and have the ability to FTP.

Xenium's have there own software on chip that allow FTP access without even starting up a dashboard.Just push the eject button instead of the power and it goes into the Xenium software.

never mind if you have evox installed the chip is flashed. Make sure that your evox network setting are right.

Thanks everyone...we have solved the problem. After reading numerous threads from diffrent sites.. it seems as though many people suffer trying to get this to FTP. Anyway, success came when we read a thread on Teamxodus.com. It went like this...
On XBOX...
IP=192.168.1.101
Subnet=255.255.255.0
Gateway=192.168.1.1
On PC..
IP=192.168.10.100
Subnet=255.255.255.0
Gateway=192.168.1.1

XBox 1.6
Xenium Ice chip 2.0.1
FlashFXP
Crossover cable using 1 NIC card

I do now think it is a good idea to have 2 NIC's
Thanks everyone. Thanks for helping the Old Man Noob.
