Star Ocean 3 problems.

Hey I recently burned Star Ocean 3 on to DVD+R's, and the game works fine up until the simulator. The screen starts zooming in and changing colour, which is what I'm assuming is the pre-battle animation. After that it just freezes but keeps zooming in. Now I've looked into it online and quite a few people have had problems at this point, and I was wondering if it's a problem with the chip or the burned DVD's? I've never had a problem with any DVD+R burned games up until now. I'm not sure what chip is inside as I just dropped it off in a store and had some people install it for me and I forgot to ask, but if it's a disc related thing I might just go buy a copied version. Any help would be appreciated!

if you can, try some -r. I burned mine on ritek g04 -r discs and it works fine.

DVD-R's don't seem to work for me. I backed up 2 games on DVD-R for me before and they either didn't load, or loaded, played REALLY slowly, then stopped working entirely.
