I'm about to pickup my modded ps2 tomorrow. I have a spindle of Ridata discs and was wondering other's experiences using these discs for PS2 burns or if you can suggest any other media for me. I have a V9 PS2 and DVD+R is recognized.

I will be using DVD Decryptor and am aware to burn AS SLOW AS POSSIBLE!

Burning PS2 games with most media, you are taking a chance that, from game to game, you will get an unplayable copy. The only media that will give consistenly flawless results is Taiyo Yuden brand disks. All others are touch and go.

NO there not fijifilm..TY make maxell..or you can buy TY as that brand...check out the supermediastore.com ..or ..meritline.com..and read about the brand ..there the best you can get.

Taiyo Yuden is a manufacturer, which also sells their own disks. Brands like fujifilm, memorex, sony, maxell, verbatim, tdk, etc etc etc, basically most of the media brands don't make their own disks, but 'rebrand' the disks of other manufacturers. Brands that rebrand the disks they sale are inherently unreliable, since you can never be guaranteed what you will get. Taiyo Yuden are the most reliable brand, because they use the highest quality dye. In terms of quality, there is no comparison.

Fujifilm made in japan Are Yuden 001.

The ones made in tiawan however are not.

they are manufactured by Tiayo Yuden and they work great.
