If you are able to actually load them into the HDD, and they show up on the list, and its supported, then I cant see how the HDD could be the problem. If there was a HDD problem I would have thought it would not reconize it, or that it would not load a game onto it. So I dont know what the problem is.
BTW: I dont know how anyone can say Goldeneye is not worth it. Not only is it a great MP game (WHich is what made the first one so popular) but it also is pretty good for single player. I dont know maybe its just the feeling of walking into an area with a shotgun in one hand and a Hand gun in the other. Those reload clips when you are dual weilding is soooo cool. ANyway, That game works in Mode 3 as does NFSU2

maybe you need to try all 8 modes becoz some of the modes turn out to be different so try all 8 modes.

I'm not sure why I need to say this again, but tell us what games you are trying to play.
I know you can prolly read the list and see what modes you need, but maybe one of us has personally installed the same game and had some problems.
Really everything you can try has been said now, so anything else will come down to a hardware issue.

i personally think goldeneye is not very good on multiplayer because it does not have any interesting arenas even though the game play is good. But single player is fantastic. But the reason i bought the game was for multiplayer mode. Anyway I agree with you if the game is supported i do not think it could be the harddrive which could be the problem.

i try acecombat 04 this say it work fine so i didn't change nothing and the other one is leisure suit larry and it says mode 3 i put a same black screen. and my hard drive is not bad becuase is $ony hdd and i have installed socom maps and they work great.

yes for god's sake please change that. It slows the the bit rate transfer when your loading up the page. I'm almost positive leasure suit larry doesn't work on the hd. Check to see if it's PAL or NTSC.

I wish I could help though. If you are sure the game is on the list, and is supported. And you are sure the hdd is ok, and you are sure the network card is ok, then I dont know what to say.
How long do you look at that black screen before you give up? I know when I put Goldeneye on and put it to mode three, I started it up and got the black screen. I sat for what seemed like forever (around 10 seconds). Finally I gave up and reached for the reset button. Just as I pushed it I noticed the loading screen appear. So I started it up again and noticed that the very first screen was black when loading from the hdd, but after about 25 seconds it started the game right up.

well, thats your problem now, not mine. just kidding. how long did you wait after the black screen appeared for Leisure Suit Larry? it may just be that the thing was loading. was it a backup or original?
