Garbage or dummy files.

Except for a few like mgs2 where you have to split
the dvd because there are no removable files.

Why would you want ot do that unless you have a DVD9 and want to make it fit a DVD5. With Mercenaries, why would you want to make a 4 gig file into a 1.88 gig file. Its still too big for a CD-r and a DVD-R can fit the 4 Gig file.

Please someone explain this.

hey yellows,
i did it because my 4gb backup froze. i didnt know how to apply the patch. and i read somewhere patching games is only good for allowing you to play online.
so after researching i stumbled across a guide that showed me how to rebuild the image. i used it and it worked!
so does anybody have an answer to my ques?
