To backup second sight to work with swapmagic all you need to do is copy the files from the original dvd to a folder on the desktop or anywhere on the Hard drive(no need to make an image file of it).
If you have an image of the game just use undisker or iso buster to extract the files.
Once you have done this, follow the intructions of the fix on the swapmagicfix.com website. So in the folder on the hard drive the the original trailer files have been deleted and have now been replaced.
Now open up cd/dvd-rom generator and drag and drop all the files from the folder on the hard drive into the directory window. the files should be in this order -
modules
music
pak
trailers
SLES_526.70
system
Now if you press the layout button you can check weather or not the files are in the correct order corresponding with the list in the swapmagicfix.
Now click the record button, you will see two errors, ignore them. a next window will come up. Go to file export, give it whatever file name you want, then click save: it will now begin to create the image file.
The image file should be split in two files, together over 1gb, 000 and 001. these files need to be combined. to do this you can use CDVDGEN iso builder, i never did. what i did was go to the dos command and went to the folder the files were in. once there i entered this command, if you named the file second:
- this symbol means spacebar
copy-/b-second.000+second.001-final.iso or
copy/b-second.000+second.001-final.iso
if you have more than two files just and them.
after a while a new image file called final will be created in that same folder. use any program you want to burn the image to disk.
