Copies are playing slow with new HDD...Help

So I am running EvoX on my box, and I just swapped from the stock to a 80Gig WD HDD, and am using the 100 ribbon cable. Copies played fine before the new HDD, now games stored on the HDD work fine, but copies, and real games in the drive play really really slow. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
