My PSTwo won't read DVD-R at all. However, it works perfectly fine with Sony brand DVD+R (I haven't tested any other media, however)

I don't understand why some people would say that DVD-R would work better. I figure since Sony is one of the big financial supporters of DVD+R, then DVD+R is probably easier on the PS2. But who really knows? Certainly not me, I'm only going by what other more qualified people say (just like everyone else :D )

The only media is use is Taiyo Yuden, whether for movies of games. My ver 5/6 ps2 loves +r, so thats what I use.

ps- TY are better than verbatim any day of the week.

IT doesnt matter if TY are better. The fact of the matter is Verbatim media also works great for movies or games.
Data Life Plus have never let me down and are my no.1 choice for backups ; )

I use Ritek G04 -R's, never had a problem yet. As far as people saying "+ is better, - is better" it's all in what your hardware (meaning your PS2 and DVD player) are compatible with. Currently there are at least 12 different versions of PS2, earlier ones play -R discs, later ones play +R discs or even both. Mine is a V4 and only plays -R's, that's the main reason I go with those. TY is very good from what I have heard, Verbatim is very good from what I have heard, I just haven't found any reason to switch brands yet.

recently i have had success w/sony +r (T.Yuden).
i have a ps2 v4 + swpmagic 3.3.
i even ripped burnout 3 off a cheap copy that skipped.
when i burned on a sony dvd (x4speed). it worked like a charm.

Ya know, it's funny that the original question was "What burner do ya use?" and sofar nobody's even mentioned a burner.

Read sig for burner.
Ive been using Verb for time now and havent had any problems with them. why change media if what your using already works right?
Umm could you plz tell me why TY are better than Verbatim balaam? IMO I dont think it matters since both brands produce high quality dvdr media.
