hi, everyone! i am totally bewildered what is the reason to get write error every time when i try to record dvd's. my computer is custom built, a month old. the media that i use is from bulkpaq dvd+r 4x. using nero recording software. you'll find the log from my last miserable attempt enclosed. if anyone have ideas, please, help as i'm out of any as well blank dvd's. thanks a lot.

You need to enable DMA for your burner.
Perhaps use DVD RW media until you get it going ok.

i'm sorry. i went to device manager, in the properties of the drive there is no opiton for turning dma on. or maybe it's somewhere else?

Check your IDE (secondary) channel for DMA.

i found the problem!!! had to update the firmware and change to DMA, like you said. burned two movies already, no problem. thanks, man

It may happen again. The system will go back to PIO if it has to many errors. You will know what to do if it happens.
