i read somewhere about a slide card that works with swap magic and needs no sodering, just plug and play. it said something about disableing two sensors on the new slimline but i dont know which ones or how to do it.

if anyone has used this please tell me what you think, and if you think that i should spend my money on buying one.

Slide card doesnt work for the "slim" ps2 v-12

However magic switch does.

i have ver 7 I use swapmagic 3.3 yes
but i have slide card.

I love it.(my swap magic and slidecard)
If i had a ver 12 Its what i would get.

would you happen to know if the magic switch or the slim tool is better to use with the slim line. if so do you know where i can buy the slim tool at.

Magic switch is the ONLY one i would personally use,
So its the only one i can recommend.

However ,others use tape and straw mod, Ghost switches,

I have used the authentic swap magic tools before,
(sm 3.3 and slidecard)
And have had no problems with thier products
