I have been searching the threads for a while and have tried several differnt things, such as deleting DVD Shrink, Nero and Decrypter. Checked DMA and that is fine. I have burned several successful movies but over the past week I keep getting the failed burn messge at the same point, during the transfer of the last file. I also tried Clone DVD and got the exact same message, her is the log that I am getting

Things look good, except for this.

As for burning these junk disc's, you might try gasoline. Or a burn speed closer suited to their quality, like 1X.

Updating your drive firmware might help some.
Current Available firmware D0JA.

Thanks for the info. I have used the disks for a while and they have treated me well so far, cheap yes but they have been ok. Is it possible that 8-10 of them in a row are bad???

Is the same original that you are trying to burn, or has this been happening to different sources?

If it is happening to the same original, try backing up something else and see if it works.

Yes, with low quality media, your results will be unpredictable. You may only get 20% of them to work.

I have tried multiple different sources and they keep failing at the exact same point on the disc. It just seems very weird.

Still, no luck. I have updated my Firmware, used different media and even burned successfully when writing a data disc, but I can not back up a movie anymore. If any one can offer some help I would greatly appreciate it.

Using different media is not the answer if it is just a bad as the LONGTEN disc's you used in the log above.

Using high quality media is the answer.

Wayne77, thanks for the advice but I have backed up many many disks in the past 8 months and have never seen this problem before.
