that the hell is a Cylic Renducy Check, i keep getting it when i try to burn Collateral from another copy

CRC errors mean the disc is damaged, scratched or dirty. Give it a good clean and also run a lenses cleaner through your ROM/Burner as there may be crap on the lenses.

Some of the newer movies with the newer protection methods will sometimes give this error as well. Try ripping with DVD Decrypter in file mode and then open that up in Shrink.
