I am using Memorex dvd+rw on my v4 ps2 and the movie plays fine but I heard rw's kill the laser and motor of the ps2 and it works harder. How can this affect my ps2? Will it stop reading discs soon? I am only doing this once.

ur laser has to work harder anyways, because its a backup. The best thing u could do is use high quality media. (TDK, Verbatim, Maxell)

Are you saying it works just as hard when I use Ritek G04s with swapn'slide?

yes the laser works harder with backups than original, because the lasers weren't meant to read backups.

Will that damage the ps2? And eventually stop reading discs? What about SwapN'Slide?
