My DVD burner will not read any DVDs.

I burned "Troy" onto a DVD before I went to work. Everything went fine. I came home and now my external DVD writer will not read any discs. Help!

Have you restarted in the meantime?
Does the device appear in "My Computer"?

Use device manager to uninstall the drive and then restart.

If that doesn't work, unplug the cable, restart the computer, shutdown, plug the cable back in, and then restart.

if that doesn't work you could always email the company of the burner complaining and if you got the burner within the warranty they'll give you a new one. ha ha im madly insane, drink milk.
