I live in the USA and I'm wondering what DVD+R's would work best? I have an Avion DVD Recorder(looks exactly like Philips 72) that records on +R/+RW's. Thanks for the help!!

Really doesn't matter where you live sir. Taiyo Yuden is
the best blank DVD media you can buy whether - or +. Now
where you can buy it is another matter. I have no idea
where to purchase them in the USA. Good Luck, Zeide.

Thanks for the response. I wasn't sure whether where you live mattered or not. So the TY dics are the best? I will check around to find the best prices. Thank you once again.

Glad to help. If they are genuine Taiyo Yuden Blank disks
then it doesn't matter where you live as the are all made
by TY. Where you purchase them is another matter. Maybe
someone on here can recommend an online site for you to
make your TY purchase. Being Canadian my source would be
of little help to you here in Canada. Thanks, Zeide.

I was just going to ask if there was an online store that I could buy these from. I saw on Rima.com that I can get a 100 pack for $48.00. Is this a good deal?

After doing alot of searching, I'm going to get the TY DVD+R 100 pack from Rima.com for $48.00. This seems like the best deal that I could find! Hope they work good!

Newegg.com has Taiyo Yuden DVD+R and DVD-R media in a 50 cake pack...
but their price is 37 bucks plus 3.50 shipping.

Scuba, I just checked out newegg.com. Their price of $37.00 is for a 50 pack, not 100.

Yep.. that's what I was saying when I used the word, But...
ahhhhhh, now after I re-read it I see what you mean.
I knew that and was trying to show that your deal on the 100 is oviously way better. Sorry for the confusion.

I buy my TY disks from meritline.com. They just raised thier prices a bit, so they're the same as rima's, and rima.com is supposed to be a good seller, so you should be fine with them.

The only thing you have to take into account when buy Ty's is how you are going to print on them. Some are ink jet printable. Some are for thermal printers and some are for neither. I like ink jet but they are more money.

I just plan on using a Sharpie to write on the disks. Too much work to print and it wastes ink.

With my Epson R200 printer it is easier than a sharpie. I go to this website and download any dvd disk cover I want, takes about 1 minute. Then I import it into my printer softwear as a background. Then just press print. Looks just like the original DVD.
