Nice reply Balaam...Im an idiot huh? lol...Thats a safe assumption when you see my newbie tag, huh? I have been burning DVD's for years and have gained alot of useful info from this site during some of that time. I only recently "joined" here at afterdawn...keyword joined... so I could reply to the few posts that I have an opinion on or to ask questions.

I've been burning with Memorex media for years, buddy. They havent crapped out on me. No frisbees yet. That shows how much you really know about Memorex media. Like I said, you're just another on the bandwagon. I contributed to this topic with what I thought about Memorex media, since it was in fact, what was in question. God forbid that I have a different opinion from the rest of the "robots" like you out there. Isnt that what forums are for?? And no, dlc200, I do not mean anyone that has actually tried Memorex and not gotten good results. I mean those that read what another says and spread it. Only posers do stuff like that. So, if it applies to you, yes I was talking about you.

Like another said here..its up to the individual and what brand writer they have, system specs, etc. Please, Balaam, forgive me for contributing to this post.

Memorex does sell some good media (ricohjpn and ritek for example). You'll notice I said sell and not make because memorex does not make any of their own media (or drives for that mater). They buy their media from different manufactures and stamp their name on it and you never know what you're going to get. Every time I bought Memorex media it was either CMC Magnetics, which I had a 50% success rate with untill I threw the rest away, or Infodisc which I took back the minute I found out what they were. Never again. Btw the new Memorex 16x dvdrw is a rebadged Lite-on 1633S.

I never understood why people continue to buy Memorex media and gambling on whether it's going to be good or bad when they can buy quality, proven, know what their getting media such as Ricohjpn or Ritek for less money or spend a little more and get the cream of the crop such as Taiyo Yuden or Verbatum Datalife Plus.
