Spider chip 1.1 Question

I just purchased a spider chip 1.1 and my xbox is a 1.6 or 1.6b not sure didnt open the box yet. This is going to be my first mod chip install and what i'm wondering is do i need to flash the bios once installed all i plan on doing wth the chip is playing back-up games. TIA!

It will be much easier if you flash the chip with something like the M8_Plus bios and install Evox or some kind of dashboard for your Xbox to play any kind of emulators or backed-up games. It's really not very hard to do once you get the chip installed.
