^read this it's interesting. it's about DRM being implicated in DVD movies so you have to get a authorization from a DRM server in order to watch dvd movies on ur comp. pretty ridiculous if i do say so meself!

fixed my firmware to allow me to burn tyg02 at 1x, but whenever i try in DVD Decrypter it says 'power calibration error'. all options above 4x seem to work fine. note these tyg02 are fakes... does anyone have ideas?

Before any burn the drive will burn a small area of the disc to calibrate the laser power needed for best results with that particular media. Power calibration error are quite common when using low quality media such as your fake TY becuase they just plain suck and the burner decides there's no way it can burn them with any reasonable quality. You'd avoid these problems and be doing yourself a big favor by getting real TY next time ;)
