Can you backup DDRs at all?

I have copies of DDRMax and DDR Extreme that I am trying to make backups of. I tried them on DVD-R, and they didn't work so I tried them on DVD+R, and they still don't work, I use Fujifilm DVDs. I have several other backups that work fine, any help?
