nope!

it copies files off the disc! it cannot change whats written as the disc is finalized or should be.

it makes new files ready to burn and it will show you if you need compressing!

it will also tell you if your dvd structure is ok?

Nothing here to see, move along folks.

Rotary-you are awesome. I put the disc in the DVD Rom and am watching it right now. Seems to be AOK. Now, the next step--how can I copy this to another blank DVD--my wife needs like 4 more copies for her sisters wedding --that is this project.??? Thanks.

Can I also take the other disk and do the samething with it? That is the longer DVD, about 840mb--which has the .psh extensions on it?

If I can burn GOOD copies today YOU will be my hero and even more, my wifes savior!

Would getting the DVD Encryptor work even better? It appears that is what you are suggesting?

I have not yet installed "decryptor" however it appears I burned and saved a good copy of the first video thru DVD Shrink. Now I will try the other video and see what happens.

YOU have made my day! Now for the acid test--my wife will review what I have burned so far. I am sure glad I found this forum and great people like you!

The burn to the MemToTV copy went fine.

Next I tried to do the samething with the Photodex Photo Show DVD slideshow--and got the usual "failed" notice. I will try to copy and insert here for your review and input. Guess I need more help!

I downloaded and installed the DVD Decryptor. Then I put the slideshow DVD (which had failed to burn) and ran the decryption. I can copy and paste this in here. Then I need to know if I should put a new DVD in the Plextor and again try to burn a copy?

I get a bit confused about whether or not I should have the blank DVD in the drive during the decryption process. Still trying to learn the proper steps!I 10:52:57 DVD Decrypter Version 3.5.2.0 started!

can you tell from the error report on the failed burn what had happened?

Was there some encryption in this video that caused the failed burn, which you now think has been removed by using the DVD Decryptor?

I am up to challenges--however my immediate goal is to get copies of these videos for my wife for tomorrow! She just reviewed the successful burn thru the DVD Shrink and it turned out perfect.

hi

not sure why it didnt burn?

it has no protection either! but its different from usally dvd structure, that why i said load to shrink for testing, if it loads it should be ok?

now DVD Decrypter make a perfect 1 to 1 copy in iso mode! so its exact...

so you cant go far wrong!

other apps may not understand your 5 folder situation as dvd films have only 1 folder!

did you burn the second film yet in decrypter yet?

LET ME KNOW IF ITS OK!!!!

yes click ones files and choose the VIDEO_TS folder and then ok and then shrink will analyze the movie. if it analyzes the movie without any errors click backup and make a folder on the desktop to save it in and click ok, then let it encode the movie and when it is done you can close shrink and open Nero burning rom(if it dosent let you burn from there) and choose the VIDEO_TS folder you created in the new folder on the desktop and burn. this should work fine if shrink will analyze the disc fine. good luck

Do I have to go to a seperate site for ISO? Or is that option available in DVD Decryptor? Making an ISO is something I am unfamiliar with. Thanks.
