labeling copied dvd's?

when a lable my copied dvd's i use a sharpie, wondering if this affects the dvd in any way. wondering how other people lable their dvd's.

Sharpies are recommended by Verbatim for labeling cd's and dvd's.

Unless done properly, paper labels can cause problems. The Sharpie is the easiest and safest method of labeling.

I'd say most people label their discs if they have more than one. Seems those little round discs look a lot alike; especially when you have a batch of the same recording discs. King Arthur looks just like The Forgotten until you put it in the player. If you have several backups, you can imagine all the fun once somebody opens the cases and gets some of the discs together.

sharpie is the best way unless you want to buy printable dvds and a printer
