ask jan, dan, neph...hell, ask a lot of members. i'll probably be one before long. nobody has any respect online anymore, and while that's normal, it used to exist here. we're all wanting to find a new forum where it still exists. actually, i'm a member of one started by one of the listed former members and it is much nicer.

the console kiddies overrun...and that's just the tip of the iceberg. yes, respect exists, but disrespect has a much higher ratio now. it's not worth it. i'm taking AD less and less seriously until i just get my account closed, too.

I take a two month vacation from aD and THIS is what happens? What's next? creaky and ddp resign and leave too? What the heck is going on? A 'best member leaving' situation?

it's been going on for a much longer time than two months, it's just getting exponentially worse. it was a spat between some high ranking members that got way out of control that had the real defining effect on this, though, causing people to leave.
if a certain bit of action isn't taken by the end of the day, i'm leaving as well. it's bull.

So what exactly do you mean by 'disrespect' and stuff? I'm sure that those type of members will get banned (or maybe they already are). Remember - It all depends on how you look at things. If you sa that the glass is half empty, I say that it's half full. Similarly, if you say that discrspect is increasing, I say that respect still exists, and there IS HOPE.

Are you joking? I seriously hope so. The last thing aD wants is good members like you running away. I can't stop you of course, but I can assure you that not one of the 'bad' members will miss you. And as you mentined, the 'good' ones (that WILL miss you) are few in number anyway.

having hope against all odds gets old....it's one reason we have so many atheists today.
i'm not joking. i'm sick of something that is staying between me and the mods i've reported it to, and if there's not one that can take some kind of action, then it's not worth sticking around anymore.

I'm sure that the mods have a valid reason of not responging to your complaint(s). Most of my tech-related google searches lead me to aD as the first result, thus making it a really good site. Plus I can specify a list of features that I like about aD.
We need members like you, Auslander. Please don't go. That's all I can say to you.

that's like comparing abandonment to triage. you gotta save who/what you can, especially when what you're saving is your sanity.
they have a very valid reason: two of our most active mods have gotten pissed off and left in the past couple of weeks. and there's not enough around to do anything.
