Is there a complete generac guide for a newbie that takes you from downloading a file, to processing that file to burn to a dvd, then the proper way to burn that dvd? For those newbies who are also getting old, this would be great..

Yes check out the guides for DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink located in the Guides section of this website. It will take you step by step to back up your dvd.
