does the av400 series allow for "watch and record" through a cable box(time warner) ie,,,,can we watch one channel while the archos is recording on another?

also,,,can the av400's record off a previously recorded program? we also have a digital cable box that's kind of like a tivo. on the back, it has an s-video out, rca jacks out(tv), rca jacks out(vcr) co-axil cable out(our present connection to the vcr and through which we tape some programs that have been recorded)
