Thanks for your reply and i appreciate your help, just one last important question is where did you get the pictures of the dvds? They are the exact ones to the discs i think. but they are great.

I just scanned them. Simple 2 clicks and your done then jusrt save as a JPG and print. I think you can import the scan directly into the CD print proggy for the epson but I like to keep the images for a while incase I need to re burn one of them.

Great thanks again, wut type of scanner do you have, do you think there is a web site where i can just down load the pictures instead of scanning? I dont have a printer and the quality on your disk are outstanding.

I have an older Canon Scanner 550n I believe. There was a link earlier for some images you can gett online but I can't remember where ..... maybe ealier in this posting. You have to be careful of copy write ... that would be a real touch and go thing sharing images it is no longer for your own use.....

Here is a good site for both the dvd box covers and cd pictures if needed. All free.

http://www.cdcovers.cc.

Just download and save them, then import into your printing program.

On SOME Verbatim DVDs, the word VERBATIM is printed in the clear hub area. Also the same on SOME Sony brand DVDs. If you are trying to make a copy of a movie, you don't want to see the brand names of any DVDs you burn. If the brand name is displayed there then obviously the DVD is a copy and probably illegal. If you want to take a chance and make an illegal copy of a movie (Which I don't) then you want to use what is called an UNBRANDED DVD. It will still be the Verbatim brand, just no brandname will be displayed on the DVD. I have made 2 purchases from WWW.Ebuyer.com and received both orders within 3 days. If you go to their site you can see the different DVDs which are branded and unbranded.

I searched ebuyers website but no verbatium 8x data lifeplus white inkjet printable, hub print. I had seen them on newegg.com but i am not sure if it is unbranded? Why would there be a branded and not branded kind?

Ya .... the hub printable do not have the Verbaitim brand on the disk but the white printable surface all the way down to the hole. Depending on the image you will be using you could end up with a band of white below your cd cover grafix.

Yes this is true. I have a question if i do get the hub printables then i would be compatiable with some of the graphics that do get printed all the way to the hole as oppose to if i dont get hub printable then some graphic will print on the hole and wont this look bad or smudge because the surface closest to the whole wont be printable ??

Thanks to all for the help.

Okay so i found verbatium 8x data life plus hub printable inkjet printable dvd on newegg.com they had a pack of 50 for $34.50. I had then looked up Taiyo yuden and had the same kind pack of 50 for $45.00

Which one would most people go with. Would people still go with verbatim because its cheaper and still a good brand or taiyo yuden becasue it a better brand all around???

Does anyone know where they could find these cheaper?>

Thanks again

I'd go with the DataLifePlus media myself especially considering the price :)

I don't think there's any difference in the quality of the MCC dye versus the TYG02. They're both about as good as it gets.

I searched Ebuyer.com again and they do still have the Verbatim DVD+R 8X white hub printable .MFG Part NO 94812.
The price is still $41.50 which includes shipping.
For those who don't know about printing to the small hole, there is no problem because you can adjust the distance to the hole to be printed on the Epson R300.

Also, if it does not look good, use a paint program such as Paint Shop Pro and fill in the area around the hole.
