I have an external dvd burner and I'm having trouble copying dvds with it. I've tried both Iomega HotBurn Pro and I Copy DVDs 2 along with DVD43, but neither program will work.
The I Copy DVDs 2 will get all the way through with the reading step, but when I put in a blank DVD it doesn't recognize the drive anymore.
Any suggestions?

I am not familiar with either of those programs, but we need more information--Make sure your drive(s) are set to DMA in device manager--also use high quality blank DVD's like Sony, Verbatim,,Ritek or Taiyo Yuden--but your problem sounds like software--Have you tried DVD Shrink and DVD Decryptor--both are free andd available here--give some more info like system specs (ram etc)harddrive capacity?
