is it possible to Convert a CD ps2 game into a DVD. ie. I want to take the 2 disc Growlancer and put both discs on one DVD to play on ps2.

Yes, there is a way. However I would not suggest doing it seeing that the success rate is not very good. But if you want to try it, here is the tutorial.

Actually, the author claims it has a high success rate. However, I failed miserably when I tried to put my DVD-Rip of Initial D back onto DVD.

After burning 4 coasters, I simply resolved to get a full DVD copy of it.

I've backed up the game on to two CD blanks and it runs fine, but cd's in ps2 make scarry sounds(aka: loud). I know that DVD's run better than CDs soundwise and for laser upkeep so that's why I ask. and i dont want to experiemtn w/ DVDs cause the costs can rack up especially if i keep going wrong somewhere. So im open to suggestions.

P.S. will DVD-RW ps2 backups work in ps2?

Since v9 DVDRWs do work, both + and - should work.
