Hi

I have recently bought Freecom Classic DVD+/-RW Double layer with Roxio Easy Media Creator 7 Basic DVD edition and I have tried to burn DVD files such as VIDEO_TS and other features from my hard disk to my a brand new DVD-R. When the burn completed, the title of window box says 'DVD - transcode error' and 'Unspecified Error [0x15240001]' inside box. I tried to play my DVD and my DVD driver could not read it at all.

Why is that?

Please help me to iron this problem out

Get rid of Roxio. Now that is out of the way. What kind of video are you trying to copy.
Recommended Software
Movies: DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink. Both are free.

Data: Alcohol 120% http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_tools/alcohol120.cfm

Last but not least Nero.

Ok I will take your advice....

What I was trying to do is to copy DVD files such as IFO, BUP and VOB files from my hard disk to my DVD-R for my family to watch films.

I have checked them out but I have films (DVD-Video) in my hard disk and I just need to burn it on my DVD-RW disk.

So any suggestion?
