I just bought the Swap Magic Discs V3.3 w/ the slider Tool. I took off the front of my PS2 (model 5000), but i cant seem to get it to play anything, it just always says Not a valid PS2 Disc. I have tired copying directly from a PS2 Game that i Own onto a DVD+R and i have tried using DVD Decrypter and then burning it onto a DVD+R. I have tried using the CD Swap Magic Disc to play an old VCD, but no matter what i get NOT a valid PS2 Disc.

Does anyone know what i may be doing wrong here?

THANKS

and helpful people get mad respect from me

I don't think vcd's play on ps2.

What version ps2 do you have, v1-3 can only play dvd-r media. v4's some can only play -r and some can also play +r. v5+ can play either.

Are you using your slidetool correctly?
After you load SwapMagic dvd v3.3, slide the peg to the right, pull open tray, swap, push tray back in, slide peg back to left, and hit 'X' it still doesn't boot your backup?

im not exactly sure what version i have, i got it this summer and it came with the network adapter and stuff and im pretty sure its the one that can play dvd-rws and stuff.
Yeah this is what i do to try and get it to play
1)put in SwapMagic Disc (dvd one)
2)wait for it to say load program, and the video mode thing
3)use my slide tool, put it in and slide it to the right
4)pull out disc tray
5)put in burned copy of GTA:SA (made a copy from the one i own with dvd decrypter)
6) push tray back in and slide peg back to the left with slide tool
7) hit X
8) Get NOT VALID PS2 DISC
9) GET PISSED AND THROW PS2 OUT THE FRICKIN WINDOW
10) WATCH DOG PEE ON PS2 IN THE SNOW

well thats ALMOST how it goes.

but i still dont see what im doing wrong, im gonna go buy a dvd-R and try it.
take out

The game is a direct copy from one that i own. i tried just burning it from one disc to another, and another creating the ISO with DVD Decrypter, then burning it onto a disc. both ways i got the same message. I also tried a game that i d/led and it didnt work either.

How do you guys go about backing up and burning? like what programs and any special settings do you have setup for those programs

I know many have had problems with memorex, but a few have had success.
Use DVD Decrypter to read your ps2 original onto your computer, then write it to dvdr with DVD Decrypter as well, at 1x or 2x, no higher.
