GTA:SA and HDLoader Problem

hi guys, i was hoping someone could help me with a problem im having with GTA:SA and HDLoader. I've loaded the game onto my hard drive, and can get into the game without any problems. However, the game constantly locks up after about 5 minutes of playing, and forces me to reset the ps2. ive tried various compatibility modes, and have installed 2 different copies of the game to the hard drive - one a backup, one an original. im using a seagate 80gig hard drive and the freeloader version of HDLoader if that makes any difference. anyone else experienced this problem, and does anyone have any advice to fix it? thanks in advance for any help!

I loaded an original and a backup of the game and have used it for hours with no problems.
