yes I got a new compact lap top and when I first purchased it, it would play all of my dvd-r, dvd+r, and store bought dvds. Now it wont play my dvd-r anymore. The computer doesn't even notice when I insert one into the dvd drive. It just acts like there is not a disk inserted.
